Panny E85 Princo dubs in 50 minutes!

I bought some Prince 8X DVD-R. They dub on my E85H in what appears to be 1X.

I assume that as the recorder doesnt understand the blanks, that is may default to 1X.

Can I easily get a firmware upgrade? The Panny DVD support area is down.

Any help or advise will be appreciated
