Hi,
I know the topic may sound stupid or newbyish. Anyway i want to know how to play the original UMD games without updating to v2.0. I have successfully downgraded my psp from 2.0 to 1.5 (thanks to this forum and the guide). So if i have to play the original game (Pro Evo Soccer 5), i cannot play it unless i upgrade back to 2.0 which i don't want to. Is there any software or ways that I can play from my original UMD disc without upgrading? (note i know that games like GTA cannot be played unless its upgraded to 2.0+), so does anyone know if Pro Evo Soccer 5 has the same "security check" as GTA for the PSP?
Thanks in advance guys.

ok games like GTA, SOCOM and HUSTLE which are encrypted cannot run on 1.5 but games that require 1.52 or 2.00 but aren't encrypted (eg. COded Arms needs 1.52) you can just use a firmware faker like SonyXTeam's Yoshihiro's 2.01 FW "Changer".
I was told to change my sig so I did this.

I need help again. Ive got the SXT FW Changer 2.02 installed in my memory stick (2GB). I can manage to change the version from v1.5 to v2.0, however, when i select the UMD icon (from the game ICON menu), it shows the error FFFFFED3 (The game could not be started). I have tried to search the forum for FFFFFED3 error message, but didn't understand much about it.
Btw, im tryin to play the actual game Pro Evo Soccer 5 (PAL version, Australian Release) not ISO image though.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,

Pro Evolution soccer 5 ISO can work on 1.5 useing umdemulator and Devhook. All you have to do is make the emulation and then go back to the main menu and go to the devhook program where the iso will appera. Just press "o" on the iso and then press "o" on start game and done!

@zombos.. I haven't tried to Play GTA whith devhook. Still, I know that GTA can't be played on version 1.5. Ihave downloaded the games several times but every time I want to poen the downloaded file the PC tell me it it damaged. And about FIfa 06 adhok, sorry but I don't even know what a adhok is. Still if you can extract the ISO you could surely play it on UMDEMULATOR V0.8c.
Good luck

GR13, so you havent tried gta with devhook but you are positive theres no way on 1.5? And by adhoc i mean the wireless psp on psp playing, but i'm pretty sure its just that my game being read off the memory card cant synchronise with the slow umd reading on the other.
thanks for the help though.
