Not sure if this is the right board for this topic. Mods, please move it if it's in the wrong place.

I can't get Gameshark & swapmagic to work with my back-ups. Hoping for some opinions & advice.

I got working back-ups and swap magic 3.6. Want to use my gameshark with codes. I believe that I have an older version of gameshark (Gameshark 2, either version 1 or 2).

I tried loading this way: 1) Gameshark, pick game, and start with codes. 2) SwapMagic 3.6 DVD disc - Load Program. 3) Put in back-up. Get black screen and disc stop spinning. Back-ups work fine with swapmagic alone.

Is my loading sequence wrong? Gameshark version too old?

Appreciate some help. Thanks.

@paulll: Put in the Codebreaker disc and pick the cheats. Then select the Start Game (or load game, whatever it is). Then, insert the Swap Magic disc and when it loads, put in the backup.

If that doesn't work, your version of Codebreaker might be too old. This is the process that works for me with version 9.

Right, I did it that way, and it wants the GAME after you select cheats...

You insert swap magic and it doesnt continue it just goes back to the cheat menu...

Thanks
