Hello
I was wondering if there was a program (preferably or mac) that you can rip a dvd and make it into a movie file (mov, avi, mpg, wmv). Any file type would work, I just can't find a program that will make one.
and another which i have just tried, which will rip an mpeg2 back to an AVI is this fairuse wizard2
Once ripped its quite easy to re encode with vso DivX to dvd .I needed to use this to get some pixelation out of the original file as i think they burnt it to fast.It did the trick
Try "DVDx 2.3"
You can only designate which audio & subtitle track you want, and then, it will directly rip & encode to a VCD, SVCD or AVI. This means you don't rip by one sofeware, get a subtitle track by anthoer sofeware ,and finally, you still need one more encorder software to make a movie.
Also, you can install a frame server plugin called "video server package". DVDx will create a virtual AVI file and all of most encorder software can open this file and make a movie.
