This is a community answer and I'm feeling like a team player... took me a long time for it to work consistently for me. I usually sit in the pregame lobby for 30 seconds with my firewall on high then move it to medium and enter MM. That gives you host boxes... after that point both your zones should be on medium. When you get to "Configuring Game"...oops I might be telling too much.. send me a 2 month at either ixi Andy ixi or iLXAi The Pro if you want the rest.... AND IT DOES WORK EVERYTIME IF YOU DO IT CORRECTLY!!!

No scam, how would you know if you havent tried it... here I have a deal, I'll give you the sequence of things to do in ZoneAlarm Pro, and when you see I'm right and agree with what I told you that you give me a 2 month in thanks.. we'll leave it at that. Don't really care if any of you novices doesn't believe me.. Oh and this is just for ZAP.. I also know how to use Sygate (google "Sygate and Halo 2")

I already see a problem with this procedure. Getting host box doesn't always mean you get the chance to have host. If you get host box, the "host box" can be shifted during the matching process. You can see this because if you get host box you can't "stayby"/put up your firewall to get host. And by the time you hit configure game the host is already chosen. What is happening throught the matching process is that all the connections are pinging the other ips and whoever can connect to all ips and has the lowest ping gets host. So... if you have a bad connection you already don't have host when you get to the configure screen (which is usually the latter case when you bridging your connect). AKA that's why waiting for host box doesn't always work.
