I have a problem. I can get the dvdshrink to start decrypting the dvd's for burning but when it gets about half way through sometime 30% through my laptop just shuts off. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Shrink is very CPU intensive and because of it, the CPU generates lots of heat. Try puting it on a hard cool surface or have a fan blowing on it while shrinking.

I think that CloneDVD2 is a little less intensive and may work in your case. A consideration anyway.
