Does Sony make there own DVD's or do they contract out? I have some DVD's with the ID code of SONY-D11-00. Who makes these?

Sony,like majority of the other brand names,outsource their media to several different manufacturers.

Those are the taiwanese sony +1x-8x accucore and made by sony. These are pretty decent,but the spindles that say made in japan are Yuden000-T02. The spindles will all be mixed up and you'll have to check those labels out for the japanese spindles. The Yuden000-T02 are made by taiyo yuden,one of the highest quality manufacturers out there.

BTW: Staples and bestbuy have these on sale this week.
