Well after 2 years of backing up movies, I have decided to do somebackups of my crappy copies. What I'm up against is under the movie is a preview and onder unreferenced material is the main movie. nero will only see the unreferenced material if i choose whole disc backup. All i want is the movie and i only see it under whole disc backup.
Please any ideas.
I beleave i used dvdd and dvd shrink, but it could have been dvd xcopy.

Did you try the 'reauthor' function of Shrink?

Yeah, reauthor in shrink will get what you want, if the crappy media will read and rip.

Hmm, in that case there could be something wrong with the copy. You may try rip it to harddisk first with e.g. Decrypter (file mode), then try use Nero or Shrink again. If that still doesn't work, you may try IsoBuster.

Good luck!

Yep, I've been doing the same. Replacing some old crappy copies. And back in the beginning I too used DVDXCopy and now I'm running into some of those movies. Shrink won't open them. So I just use DVD Decrypter with "Mode > IFO" and it'll rip just the movie.

sorry not enough info, i can open the movie in Nero or shrink and the movis is there and i can back it up but i have decided a while ago i only want the movie, well in both programs the main movie is 156 mb and its a trailer for some other movie and the movie is on the bottum under unreferenced material then i try to open it under reauthor and the movis cant be found. all this is after its back on my hard drive using dvdd file mode, so i tried to use ifo edit and thought i might be able to fix the ifo files but with no experince using it i had no luck. I'm persistant so i will find a way, but it might take me awhile. I do appreciate all the responce from you guys and keep up the great froum, wish i started before now.
