can anyone put me straight:
Can i use MACTHERIPPER on a 'play-only' dvd drive or do i need
a burn & play dvd capable drive ?

I don't use a Mac, but you should be able to use any ripping software on a ROM drive, but obviously you are limited to where the image can be stored.

It will only be the HDD not a blank DVD.
