Hey, all, I tried to extended my blank DVD-R media by using my DVD+/- Rw drive. But it ends say my drive couldn't handle this kind of extended. Does this problem happen a lot or only happen to certain brands. The DVD-R is Memorex. I don't remember my DVD RW drive is.
If I am not mistaken, you can not "overburn" DVD media. If your source is video, it can be compressed (transcoded or re-encoded)... You can "overspeed" (burn faster than rated speed) it, but I would recommend that only on quality media... Someone correct me if I am wrong about overburning...
i can't say i've ever heard of a successful overburn on a DVD, i've done it a fair few times on cd's but there's enough trouble burning to the outer edge of dvd's, never mind overburning. and as to Memorex, pls see my signature
