How do I play PS2 games off HDD

im making an arcade cabinet with my ps2 inside, but i dont like opening it every time i wanna change the game, so i wanna know, How do I play PS2 games off HDD? Does this work for PS1 games too?

use HD Loader or HD Advance (same program with different skins) but PS1 games are a NO/GO.

if the console is unmodded you can load original games via the CD/DVD drive using the loader software. if it's chipped you can load originals and backups via the CD/DVD drive.

regardless of if it's chipped or not you can load original or backed up games via your PCs IDE cable connected to the drive.

MAME can be ran from a CD or ran (launched) via an ELF and can run from the MC/HDD/USB/CD/DVD depending on how you set it up but PS2MAME seams to have allot of problems and relay isn't worth while, the XBOX version seams to be better but still slow.
