I looked on the best buy and circuit city websites and i couldnt find this brand. Wheres to best place to buy blanks from this brand?

you will pretty much only find taiyo yuden media online. but watch who you buy from because there are fake taiyo yudens out there. i always but from supermediastore.com (usually have good deals on -r). other people here buy from rima.com. both are good. newegg.com has just started to sell taiyo yudens also, but it seems like supermediastore always has the better deals.

http://www.meritline.com/ has genuine TY as well, but would wait for deals. Sales all the time.

Why don't you just go in Best Buy and buy the Sony +R made in Japan DVD media. They are Taiyo Yuden and currently on sale for $15 for a 50 pack.

Whoops just saw you're looking for -R. Won't work for you then.

Ok, im sort of new to this media but my brother loves making dvds. And i wanted to get him a few for christmas. And i see lots of ppl on here saying good things about this Taiyo Yuden brand. I checked out supermedia and came across this..

Those are fine but for $15 you can get the same thing with Sony's name on it at Best Buy. Just gotta get the +R and made in Japan. Sale ends Saturday.

those are dvd-r, i think he needs dvd+r. Just went up and looked at what he had and has all the +r's on them.
But was is the difference between +r and -r? Is it the burner he has that can only burn one type? Or the dvdplayer they play on can only play a certain type.

read ur post a lil too fast, you are right..hehe :) the DVD+R format seems to be higher in price, in this case..if you want Taiyo Yudens...get the Sony 8x DVD+R MADE IN JAPAN as suggested by neodave~ :) TYs are still TYs

im just looking for another media brand, im currently using Fujifilm dvd-r and dvd+r but im just curious about other brands...Thank you all for the great info
