Anyone else have problems backing up wsb2k3 to the hd?

I extracted from xbox hd to pc, then from pc back to the hd but when i go to play the game, it just boots me back to the launch menu. I wonder if there's any new type of encryption used to not allow us to back up the game. I don't have any problems backing up any other game. I'll try again and will see how it goes, in the meantime, anyone else run into this problem?

i am having this problem with all the games i have tried it with..
MADDEN 2003 and SPLINTERCELL..

dbl check that all the files are there and most importantly, i think, is the default.xbe file

i am sure all the files are there but what i think it is is my chip.. i have the engimah FINAL.. and i can't upgrade my bios.. is anyone doing the ftp and copying games without doin nothing to there bios..?? also is it possible for me to install the MATRIX on top of my engimah and b able to flash the bios..??

i think there is some new thing that they are doin (MICROSOFT) they are changing where the default.xbe is so u have to patch it i for got where i read this but i will get back if i c the site again.. i remember the site had a comparison chart about modchip with red and green boxes thatz bout it..
follow up : itz http://www.xbox-scene.com go to where it says new games need patchings

some games won't boot from evox if you have
IGR=Yes. Edit your evox.ini file (drive c) to
read IGR=No the 3 times it appears, and the games will all work off HD.

i have an older version of evox that doesn't allow igr 1.8.28 i think. any other ideas? thanks for the responses guys.

there is no new protection on xbox games
the only reason they don't boot off HD
is cos you have evox IGR turned on.
WTF are you transferring from xbox HD to PC to Xbox HD......use HDDloader
Why would anyone use an old version of evox..
if it don't work properly..get the new version!

mistake, i didn't extract from xbox hd as i posted early but from teh xbox dvdrom -> pc hd->xbox hd. This is the only game that hasn't worked thus far, every other game has worked that's why I've hesitated to upgrade evox. Do you think it's because of the evox version that the game is not loading? thanks

found the cause. there's new encryption in the .xbe file and you'll need to get one of the .xbe patcher programs out there to those who care.

I ran into that problem when i was using xISO to make the iso... i use GDFImage now and have yet to run across a game i can't back-up... unless it is too big of a file over 4.7gigs

theer are new protections. dont be fooled. you can patch the .xbe files (more than one in WSB2k3) and it will play off the HD and backup, or you can just upgrade your modchip bios with the new xecuter2 4975 bios. also turn off IGR (In Game Reset) things should workout fine for you after that. i was having these problems also until i read up at the xboxscene forums and the executer forums.
