I have a problem. My son tried soft moddin. He download two linux file (splinter cell) to his xbox so he could softmod. He said it worked for a few days. But now he can not access his dashboard?
Comes up with error 21.
System still plays games, he just can't play xbox live, says he needs to access his dashboard.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

this is what i did put the splinter cell back in and go to the setup for the softmod again there u can ftp into your xbox and fix everything.

i think this might help me because i cant access my dashboard either, and i get error 21 too. the difference is that i didnt do the linux file thing. instead i was trying to put surreal 64, and i think i either deleted a file, or moved a file to somewhere else. it can play games, but i cant ftp back to the xbox. ive tryed slayers autoinstaller, but that didnt work. please tell me if splinter would be the right thing for me to fix my xbox.

if u download the save from my signature for splinter cell there for NTSC by the way.save them to the xbox and put in an orignal copy of splintercell go to linux then checkpoints and another screen with come up u should be able to ftp from there.

Why don't people softmod using the xboxhdm method.Its alot faster and easier.Don't you think?And what about the eeprom.

matador why use xboxhdm using a games save is so easy if u have the saves it only takes 5 minutes to do.and u can back-up your eeprom using the the saves.

i also tryed to softmod and now after installin evox i have competly wiped my hardrive but i can still play games and save things through the games but i dont have a dashboard and i dont have any way to get into my xbox.
