Is this possible? Im pretty sure that the only difference between the DMS3 and the DMS3 V9 is the firmware on the chip, so is there any way to reflash it with the V7 firmware?

I really dont wanna have to go and spend $50 on a new chip right now, so any help would be appreciated.

I don't think there's even a difference in the firmware on the chip. It's just different soldering points on the 2 versions of the ps2 motherboards, seeing how they just release 1 firmware upgrade for all ps2 versions. So as long as you follow the v7 diagram and do a good job soldering it should work fine.

NTSC DNAS threads.
