I have tried most of the discs out there, 'specially lots that have been FAR, I have never had a bad lot of discs. I've had a couple of coasters here and there, but I think that's more from MY errors than from bad discs. If I'm PAYING for discs, like I did in the very beginning of recording, I am looking for the good discs, (Fuji MIJ), but is there REALLY much of a difference int eh discs themselves???

Oh my! There is diffently a difference in the discs and who makes them.
Some manufacturers are better than others - better one's have great quality control, dye application and the dye itself.
Poor quality ones while they may burn and play fine at first eventually degrade.
So yep stick with the goods(taiyo yuden & Verbatim) - there really is a difference!

..lesser discs aren't allowed near my burners :)

but also because price-wise (over here in UK anyway) there's no need to buy lesser discs when top notch discs are no more expensive than lesser discs
