Swap Magic freezes - help!!!

We installed Magic Switch into our Slim PS2, and it works perfectly pre and post installation with original disks. When we insert Swap Magic 3.6 it boots up to the "Load Program" screen and then freezes. It does not respond to any button - X or square. The response is the same with all the backups as well as the original disks. Is there something I can do to get past the "Load Program" screen? Is the Swap Magic Disk faulty? please help, as Christmas is just around the corner!!!

Try cleaning the Disc and the laser and see if that helps.

Thanks for the imput - the discs were brand new and appear clean, but I'll clean them again just to be on the safe side. Is there a way of testing if the tools that block the sensors are doing their job? They are all securely in place. I am assuming that once the tools are properly positioned, it should make no difference whether the lid is up or down. Can you think of any other way to "troubleshoot" whether it is the Swap Magic Discs (I can return them, but they won't be back before Christmas), the blocking tools, or the PS2 itself?
