hmm.. i was wondering. if i use my install disks on the ps3, might i be able to play? they havnt released online backwards compatability yes. so i am unsure. any ideas?

I think they are goign to make a new version of it. They did for 360.

FFXI for the PS2 will be remembered as one of the worst ripoffs in history. First they made you pay for an HDD that would barely be used by any other game, then they release the slim PS2, which is not compatible with the HDD. And now they release and XBOX 360 version that will look a lot better and cost way less(my bet since it won't include and HDD). And to make things worst, they shrank the drive for the PS3 to 2.5", so the poor souls that kept the 40GB 3.5" HDD won't be able to use it in the PS3 when it comes out.

dood.. when i got tired of ffxi i format that hdd and use it for music storage and games on my pc.
