I have Nero 6 which came with my DVD Burner. I have downloaded and installed the latest updates, but I can't find Nero Burning Rom.
When I open Nero Startsmart and look under applications it's not there.

Under applications I have NeroExpress, NeroVision Express SE, Nero BackItUp, Nero CoverDesinger, Nero ShowTime, Nero MeadiaHome, Nero PhotoSnp SE, Nero PhotoSnap Viewer.

I am looking for Nero BurningRom because I have some backup movies, I want to make backups of on better media.

When I installed the updates it said it was updating the old version of Nero BurningRom to a newer one ?

Would you consider using DVD Decrypter? It is an excellent ripper and burner.

A very simple prog to use. Read the guides in my sig for instruction, they are thorough but easy to follow.

Thanks for the DVD Decrypter Guide.
I watched one of my back up movies, it played fine, made sure the disk was clean and used DVD Decrypter, but I got read errors when DVD Decrypter was ripping it??

No problem...glad you got it to work.
What where the errors, word for word? The backup played flawless from start to finish?

Sorry I don't remember the read errors word for word.
I do remember it was towards the end of the ripping process. Decrypter tried to reread one part I think around 26 times, then a box came up saying retry, skip, abort (something like that).

I chose retry and it did finish ripping the movie, then I burned the movie to T-Yuden +R booktyped to DVD-Rom. I haven't watched the movie to see if it turned out ok though.

I did run Decrypters Verify after burning and that seemed to go ok?

As long as you asked the program to retry and not to skip or abort you should get a complete rip. That error was probably due to dirt or a scratch.
