I keep reading maxtors aren't very compatible with the network adapter. you'd be better off getting a western digital.

the Maxtor's are the Most compatible with the network adapters and most WDs require modification of the adapter. you can find all the compatible drives at this link: http://ps2drives.x-pec.com/

notice all the Maxtor's with yes/yes (work/fit) and all the Western Digital's that are no/no, they dont fit the adapter and dont work with HDLoader/HDAdvance.

^^ lol yeah Yeah thats a good deal and its 160gb but the ps2 will only use the first 139gb I need a store that sells them I dont think i can rely on waiting for it to be shipped

if you have the latest versions of HD Loader/HD Advance they'll recognize the full size of the drives up to i know 400g, i haven't tried anything larger then that so i cant say about 400+...............your a bit out of date there h25520062

and every place I've ordered anything from offers Priority shipping, you can get it same day/overnight/etc.... so you don't need a local store, you've spent more time reading this then you would have waiting on a priority ordered drive :)

if you had mods or a means of installing the exploit, I'd be more then happy to direct you to either the latest elf to launch or the latest version on ISO to burn to disk, then you'd be up to date.
