I just got my cube modded with a ripper modchip. I see that its bios is just a modified versiuon of the cobra v.04, and mine can directly boot burned media without swapping. Shouldn't this bios have the idle bug fixed? I was playing a burned copy of Resident Evil 0 and after reading a document and exiting the menu, the game would freeze (dvd stops spinning), and I would have to open/close the dvd lid to get the dvd running again.

If it's based on the old Cobra BIOS it probably has all the problems of it. The newest Cobra BIOS is 1.2 if I'm not mistaken.

I wasn't even aware of a Ripper modchip for GC until now since I thought they only made chips for PS2. You really should've just gotten a Qoob or Viper. Preferably a Qoob Pro or SX.

Amongst others my Resi Evil 0 does not appear to boot on the Viper Extreme with Cobra v1.2.

It goes to the viper menu and when you try to launch the game it hangs. Other games work perfectly since I tweaked the laser. I would have put it down to a bad burn to that was not the case. I used two different burners.

Any ideas?

Games that would not boot:
Resident Evil 0
007: Agent Under Fire
Super Smash Bros Melee
Tiger Woods 2006

Please help.... TIA!
