i live in toronto. does any1 knows a place here that carry verbatim media???? that i can go there and buy them..... thanx
Great choice of media - I highly recommend it. Again, my top 3 choices of high quality media are: (1) genuine Taiyo Yuden (2) Verbatim "Advanced Azo" (3) Maxell (Hitachi - made in japan)
(*NOTE: keep your burner's firmware up-to-date and burn them at 4X only and you should be all square away.)

I bought verbatim DVD-R 4.7 gb
8x datalife plus white injet printable spindle
product code dvd 01x0242-050
94854
but how come it mades in Taiwan?
do they use advanced azo dye????
Listen to my buddy creaky, he's right, and yours does look like authentic Verbatim, especially if you've purchased from "supermediastore.com". Yours should be the 8X DVD-R, so it should be genuine. Verbatim used to be manufactured at only Japan and Singapore, but now it's plant is in Taiwan (that should be top notch media), except their DVD+R DL media is made in Singapore.
I'm a DVD+R person, so at the moment I'm using the new 16X Verbatim DVD+R "Advanced Azo", but I mostly burned at 4X and a few at 8X only. I got 2 packs of the 25 discs from "Best Buy" a few weeks ago when it's on sale $15.99 a pack.
