Is it possible to burn to DVD-RWs and play in a normal DVD player...and then format the disc to do it again with other videos?

circleda-Possible ? But would probably be more dependant on the player ! Have'nt used DVD-RW's much but have found that DVD+RW's may not play as well after being recorded & erased several times ! atleast for video ! With the cost of DVD-R & DVD+R why would you want to spend extra money on erasable media ? Other than to make a trial burn of a difficult DVD/project to see how it comes out first? I agree with Bigtoxy69.Standalones can have a harder time recognizing re-writeable dvd backups.You'll know when you insert that backup rw disc in your stand alone and get some sort of no disc inserted error.

They are great to practice with,and viewing them on the dvd burner that produced them. Getting your stand alone to play them may be another story.It's great to have a few rw's around,but more expensive if you want to back everything on rws.
