New games automatically upgrade your firmware?

Is it true that new games can automatically upgrade the firmware as soon as you turn on with a UMD inserted? I came across a thread this morning and don't know if it's true.

some yes others no but you need the latest firmware due to sony's dnas encryption

Do any of the newer firmware patches run with the PSP running on battery power? At least the ones I've come across require you to plug in the A/C adapter first, so having a game upgrade your firmware without your consent is quite unlikely.

no, no, no...

Some games upgrade BUT they display THIS GAME REQUIRES *BLAH* THE UPGRADE WILL NOW RUN. And then it will show you what the upgrade does etc. THIS GIVES YOU TIME TO PACK AND RUN.

No its NOT becuase of (*removed*) DNAS DNAS is to check multiplayer play it has MOTHING to do with firmware it does with PIRATED MULTIPLAYER and ISNT enforced YET and only in the NEWER GAMES FROM NOW and NOT OLDER GAMES.

And 2.00 and below need AC plugged in but $0ny are cunning f'ers they want us to accidentally upgrade to 2.XX. 2.01 and above dont need the AC plugged in. They dont even care if we brick out PSP coz were low on battery!!!!!!

Basically to sum it up if a game requires you to update your firmware it will either;
- ask for confirmation
- ask you to plug in the AC Power Adapter
- tell you that it is upgrading????

^^That correct??^^

Does anyone have a list of games that do AUTOMATICALLY update your firmware? That would be a great help, either a link or table??
