Ok, so i am having a problem making copies of my backups. i use any dvd and dvdshrink to backup my original movies. ive tried using dvd decrypter, and nero to copy the backups and sometimes it still wont work on some. i read in another forum that the reason is because of when making the first backup that there is crc read errors. my question is how do you make the first burn from the original with no crc read errors so it is a perfect burn? Please let me know. Thanks, Jared

I have this problem alot as well. I find that shrink wont read any of my backup copies. However CloneDVD usually does. For some reason it reads the copies much better. It may take awhile on some but they usually come out fine.

the trick is guys using good blank media in the first place (Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim and burning at a slow speed 4X without any programs running in the background .DO THIS and you can make copies of your backups burning on the fly (Nero) or running it though DVD Decrypter ISO read ISO write , easy as that!!

aabbccdd nailed it on the head. Use quality media, burn at a slow rate to get a quality burn and you will be able to copy your copies.
Media and burn rate are key to quality.

We all just told you... dvd shrink, full disc mode or re-author depending on what you want, use good media like TY and burn at 4x without anything running in the background to cause buffer faults etc.
Should be a good burn.

Diddo, Diddo,
I make all of my first back-ups at 4x to a Verbatim MCC 004 and never have a problem coping it using Nero "on-the-fly". And usually make my copy with Nero at 8x.........

There are three kinds of men: The ones that learn by reading; The few who learn by observation;
The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves...

Regarding copies of backups:
I have tried to copy backups, including Verbatim recorded at 4x or slower with no luck.
i have been able to copy backups made on the new Imation scratch/smear/fingerprint proof dvd blanks, avalable at Target.
I have also had fair luck copying dvds recorded on my Panasonic stand alone burner.
