PS2 HDD in PS3?

So, I was one of thefulls that bought the PS2 HDD...now, will i be able to use that in my PS3? because i do hear it will have a standard HDD slot.

The ps3 hard drive is the size of a laptop hard drive 2.5"
the ps2 hard drive is the size of a standard hard drive 3.5"

Ouch!!! What a waste of 40GB, it would have been nice to double the 360's 20GB 100$ unit with an older one. Let's hope Sony doesn't rip us off with, the PS3 hdd.

damn that sucks, well i guess my PC supports it..time to up my HDD space for PC and buy a new one for PS2(got HDAdvance


so, if say...buy a 2.5" HDD, then will it work?

It's hard to know at this point, Sony will most likely sell their hardrive with an enclosure again. Probably you'll have to get the enclosure anyway in order to use a higher capacity 2.5" HDD in a PS3.

yeah their probably going to use the same approach as microsofts xbox 360 and more than likely hardcode the hdd to be used with the ps3
