So i am backing up another foreign film and I'm using smartripper. SmartRipper rips the file that are in file mode, including the two .ifo files, which are video_ts.ifo and video_ts_01_0.ifo
these are the files that come up in file mode in smart ripper. The ones indicated with a '*' indicate the ones that I ripped. DVD2one, then bring up 4 different types of titles that i can process. And the smallest one is 0:00 time and largest 4:01 time... if someone can see what im doing wrong if you can please help..I am a newbie as you can see..its like my 4th post in like 2 weeks...thanks for the help.
Purchased DVD2One 2.0 a couple of weeks ago and
have successfully copied several movies that
play on my oldest player. I don't use Smartripper so I am not familiar with how it
does the Dvd rip. But once the movie is ripped
and you open DVD2One, pick out the(usually)
highest time files for DVD2One to process. I
set the file size to 4gb and have really good
quality movies.
Having a DVD player software to doublecheck
which files are which helps if there are some
files which end up close to the same size
timewise, but it is the one with the fewest
chapters.
Basically follow the instructions and you
should be OK. Also check out the forums at
DVD2One.com
Yea, maybe i didn't clarify myself correctly... thanks for the input, but what is happening is that its actually only 4 mins and 1 second long file. When i select next it doesn't do anything, I have no file over 2 hours long, which the movie is...so what should i do?.. this is the first time this has happened to me..
OK, I guess I didn't catch that right. What I wonder about is the star you put by the files, where did the others come from. The only files there should be what Smartripper ripped from the DVD and any it added on it's own. You should be ripping ALL the files from your DVD, not just some. DVD2One needs to sort out which files to convert for you and can't do that properly if you don't have them all there.
Like I mentioned,I don't use Smartripper, I only use DVDDecrypter and have it rip all the files, not just the ones it chooses. DVD2One then sorts them and you pick which to copy.
If you did the rip per instructions, and are still getting the weird results, just do some reading on all the forums and I'm sure someone will have written about the same situation.
Smartripper: If the DVD is over 4.37Gb then in Smartripper you'd only take the .ifo file to the _vts sectors (already ticked) and then DVD2One adds a .bup file whilst compressing.
Then burn w/ Nero.
