Hi,
I know how to use shrink, and dvd decrypter etc., and I usually read and write via image mode, but i wanted to try ripping/ writing in file mode, here's what happened;
used dvd dedyypter to rip to hard drive via file mode, then tried to write back in file mode using nero, but nero says; something like.."warning files may not play back properly" or something like that. So if i rip in file mode with dvd decrypter, how do i get it to write in file mode? BTW: I solved the problem by re-doing it using shrink, then burn image file with decypter. But that doesn't solve the problem i asked. Thanks for your advise.

You're getting this message because you are using the wrong Nero application to burn your files, in the nero window on the left you probably have one folder that you're putting the video files in...wrong way.
You need to choose burn DVD files application, you know you're using the right one when you see in the window on the left a VIDEO_TS folder and an added AUDIO_TS folder. Drag the ripped video files into the VIDEO_TS folder on the left, now you can burn then and shouldn't get that message.
If the files you are trying to burn exceed 4.7 gig you need to shrink then or use a still expensive dual layer dvd.
Hi John123,
Yes, i ripped the all the dvd files in my own folder, NOT called video_ts, none the less they are dvd files, and i am using Nero application called "burn dvd files"., the file size of the whole movie including extra's etc is only 3.2 gb, so that was not the problem. Could it be because I didn't want the folder it wanted to make called 'video_ts' ? the same files that are in this folder are the sames files that went in the folder i made. doesn't make sense to me?

Your DVD project MUST have a VIDEO_TS folder containing all the files you ripped and an empty AUDIO_TS folder to burn to disk in order to play back properly.
Open Nero Burning Rom, click on the DVD-Video icon on the left, click the NEW tab. On the left you should have a VIDEO_TS folder and a AUDIO_TS folder, copy paste all of the video files you ripped into the VIDEO_TS folder on the left, click burn (use 4x for write speed). Use good quality media.
