Ok, I've got a little problem with my xbox. Any help greatly appreciated.
I've got a version1 xbox, and an evox modchip that I've installed.
All this has done is bring up the normal boot up screen but with 'EVOX' in the corner. And I can play foreign games.
When trying to FTP to my computer, it has none of it. connection timed out usually.
Am I missing something?
I do have a DVDRW with 'EvoX autoinstaller'.iso but whatever I do the xbox doesn't like it.
Got a 160GB HD sat here doing nothing :o(
Please help, or MSN me, that would be saweet.
can catch me on 'removed'.
Hell I'm so desperate I'll pay you with paypal if someone helps!

Ah cool. Added you to my aol list.
It's all such a woo-haa. Nothing's easy!
Just to get you up to speed, xbox got an 'x-chip' not evox chip.
I've flashed evox bios onto it tho. Chip also came with the cromwell bios.
Problem mainly being getting a dashboard?
Ahhhhh I'm getting stressed! lol

does your chip maker have a bios on (the place to get modding stuff, I don't now if I am allowed to post the place here, but on AIM I will let you know, but you probably already know anyway)
ok, so do you actually have a boot disc that brings up an EvoX dashboard?, (I am assuming you have the modchip set up and flashed correctly, I don't know about "x-chip" however but everything else should be pretty similar, to what I had to do)

No problems.
Sorry about the email address.
Just saw so many post saying 'help me please' etc etc figured I'd get a better response!
Though it has got to the point where I just pack the whole idea in!
It's my last stand lol
Cheers

No. I believe the chip is flashed correctly as I have a standard xbox screen but with 'EVOX' in the top left. nothing different other than that.
I have a disc (DVDRW), but it has a 'EVOx Autoinstaller' which is an iso file.
Is this the dashboard?
The xbox has a spanner when I put it in :o(
