Has anyone used this software to burn a dvd? I ripped the movie fine with dvd decrypter, stripped it fine with dvd2to1 and now have the files I need. I start Sonic but it says it does not support certain files. Any help?
These are the steps I took:
Click on create a dvd project,
get movies,
click on the files created by dvd2to1 (have to click on all file types and then highlight all the files),
importing media box comes up,
get an error message "that one or more files could not be imported. My DVD does not support this file type."
These are the files that are being imported:
VIDEO_TS.BUP
VIDEO_TS.IFO
VTS_01_0.BUP
VTS_01_0.IFO
VTS_01_1.VOB
VTS_01_2.VOB
VTS_01_3.VOB
VTS_01_4.VOB
Thanks for any help you can give.
Start a new project and enter ur settings mpeg2dvdcompliant etc.(do not think this matters, only if u make an image I think, but u cannot short cut the window.
Select BUILD
Select MAKE DVD DISC
Click on current project and select DVD VOLUME
Hit browse and select ur folder where ALL ur files r(DO NOT OPEN IT,JUST HIGHLIGHT AND IT APPEARS IN THE BOX)
Select ur recorder.
At this point u can go into project settings and change the dvdvolume name to the name of ur disc.
Also u can refresh here to see if the files will fit on a dvdr.
When u have done that u can then procede to test, test and burn, burn etc. and it should work.
Mydvd is an authoring program so it will look for mpeg1/mpeg2 data and configure/transcode them into Ifos and vobs etc.(making the dvd)
Your files have already been ' authored' by dvd2one and so that is why Mydvd cannot recognise them (as it is looking for mpeg's and sound files/mp1/mp2)
You will honestly find it easier with nero or recordnowmax.
Ok. I have trial versions of both Nero and RecordNow Max. I tried following the Nero guide for burning but I run into the same problem it's looking for mpeg files. According to the guide I have the next step should just be burning these files I made with DVE2One. I know I'm not making the connection somwhere but I can't seem to get it.
ALL ur files should reside in a folder named VIDEO_TS(uppercase) after using dvd2one, u have to create this folder first on ur desktop and point dvd2one to that folder as the destination on the first screen.
I do not know if the trial versions will work as I have the full versions only.(someone could jump in here to confirm)
However if nero is only looking for mpeg files, have u selected ur dvd recorder and the dvd options? This will then make nero look for ifo/vob/bup etc.
If u haven't got the option to select dvd recorder/dvd option, then I think that may be due to it being a trial or a earlier version, u will need to check that.
You can use the dvd video option here, but shall explain that if u have got the above sorted.
With recordnowmax, again I do not know about the trial.
Using the default settings, you just need to burn as a data disc, and select ur dvdrecorder(red arrow), click add files, point it at ur VIDEO_ts folder and away it should go, alot simpler than nero.
I take it Mydvd was a different version or just a nightmare to get ur head round?
Let me know if this helps or not, and I shall try and digress a little more.
It worked!! I used recordnow max and changed the file name as you said. I didn't quite understand that part in the article. I'm going to try burning some more. If your up for more questions I have them!
