Hi Guys and Gals
I wanted to ask if anyone has been able to backup the DVD True Grit?
I have tried everything including Shrink, DVD Decryptor, & DVD Fab Decryptor and they all will get it ripped to the hard drive ok but when I try to burn they all stop 3/4 into the analyze process. The movie appears to play fine on it's own and on the PC, the DVD is also new and clean. This is the first DVD I have not been able to accomplish a back up for and just looking for suggestions.

Thanks any help would be appreciated nitrox11

I have not tried it, but would not think that that old of a movie would have any encryptions on it at all.

May be a bad press. Try re-ripping.

Hi 9mm

Thanks for the reply I have tried re ripping the movie 3 separate times using all three softwares, and all three rip it to the HD with no prob whatsoever. I think maybe I will go buy another copy of True Grit just to see if I get the same result. It is just puzzling because as you said it is an old movie, the thing that is great about AfterDawn is that I know sooner or later I will get this solved with member help and it's kind of fun trying to figure this out.

Thanks again for your reply nitrox11

Hi nitrox11 and welcome to AD. Read the Forum Rules and avoid double posts, Etc. the Moderators frown on it.

Before we can help, we need a lot of info about your situation.
1. the rip, you say you can rip it OK. What prog are you using, any Errors? What are they.
2. the shirnk, does it complete and make a VIDEO_TS file, ok or what Errors do you have.
3. the Burn, what program are you using for the Burn, to what type, brand of disc, any Errors? What are they?
4. about your computer, what processor, operating system, size of RAM, etc.

Just give all the info you can and we?ll go from there??
