Hi,
My sister put a file in her kazaa shared folder spcifically for me to download, only problem is, I can't find the file on Kazaa.
Is there anyway I can do a search for her username on kazaa so i can find the file. It is definatly in her shared folder.
Many thanks.

Impossible, you cant find users on kazaa because people can even use the same username!

Thanx, After reading through the posts on kazaa I uninstalled kazaa desktop and installed kazaa lite. Now it will onl;y connect me as 'k-lite master' instead of my username. Can you tell me how to change my user name and my shared folder location?
Many thanks Sam

You change it by going to opitions and enter any username you want and when you click apply first then ok. It changes it from what it was before to your name you put in.

Well that will change your name but you still wont be able to find individual users!

Theres is one thing you can do... Make A Word document Called "Your friends name" And hare it on Kazaa, Tell your friend to then search for it, right click on it and search for more of the same user

Good answer, that is exactly what I wanted to say when someone asked exactly the same question. Just make a filename that is completely unique, after a search which reveals the filename, just search from same user.

Ikonos, It's been tried on eMule, on a server of 50,000 ppl and no luck whatsoever. So I dont see that working on kazaa with Millions of users! I mean there are a helluva lot of files that kazaa would have to search through! And if its a small file, like only a few kbs, i doubt it would find it!

Oh jaysus no, definately no harm in trying. I would be very interested in seeing if the file can be found! I'd still doubt it though!
I mean i just connected for a second to see how many files are currently being shared on kazaa - 1,213,487,289 is what i got from 6.5million users!!
