burned ISO file on DVD but can not view on laptop / DVD player

Hi,

I could shrink a movie using DVD Shrink and copied the ISO image file on my C:/ drive. I then burned this ISO file to a DVD+R media. It gave me successful completion message. I could not view the movie on my laptop as well as DVD player. In fact, the DVD player gave an error message of "unknown disc". I have been using the SONIC software for burning CDs/DVDs. I am new to burning DVDs and this was my first experience of burning a DVD. Please let me know how can I burn an ISO file to DVD or how can I view an ISO file on DVD player and laptop ?

Sounds like your laptop doesn't recognize the media. See if there is a firmware update for your DVDdrive. You can check it here: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_search.php

You player may not like the +R media. You may need to booktype to DVD-ROM or use -R for that standalone.

Further from the above suggestion which are the first things to examine a significant role in the DVD burning is performed by the conditions of burning itself. Avoid max speeds and use respectable media.
