actually, catfreak was the one who told me about these initially, but, i never got around to buying them/trying them as the price is TOO RICH for my blood, comparatively to Canadian prices, here in the U.S. it's not much cheaper~ :)
i can believe that they are excellent quality discs, used by professionals or whatnot, but, for the avg. joe-user, these are not cost efficient as they are priced HIGHER than the best DL media at this time, IMHO the Verbatim DVD+R DLs :)
and these are single layer discs too, when you have people complaining about the COST of Taiyo Yudens being so high, imagine what people would say about the cost of THESE "gold" single layer discs that are more expensive than DL discs?
honestly, i believe the claim of these lasting for xxx amount of years for the archival lifespan, but for ME, i have nothing THAT precious that i want to keep/have a memory of for 300+ years~ :) and my kids and grandkids probably won't live that long either...LOL
