Gentlemen
I have a movie that is 133min long, is there any chance that DVD Shrink can download this onto a conventional 4.7 - 120 min DVD. What's the colleration time of movie vs DVD Capacity.
Thanks Ronnies

As long as you don't have any red in the bar at the top of DVD Shrink when you go to backup you should be good to go. Since blanks are only about 32 cents a piece you could do a test burn to see if the output is what you desire.

As the name implies DVDShrink will shrink it to fit the disc??..

Hello 9mmruger1
I will try your suggestion and set DVD Shrink to 4300 and see what happens. I didn't think that a 133minute movie would fit on a 120minute DVD. I don't know the specifics on minutes of a movie vs minutes alotted on a DVD Disc... The math just doesn't add up, then again I'm not familiar with the compression capabilities of DVD Shrink. Thanks for your kind input. Ronnies

Amount of Minutes in movie is not the critical issue. How big is the Video_TS folder in megabytes? Size of file, not length in time is the issue. Compare with size of disk and allow shrink to compress the data to fit.
Use reauthor to remove subtitles and unecessary sound tracts. Remove menues and extras. Use the start end frame adjustment to limit intro logos to one, and to remove the credits at end. All of these manuevers will reduce the size of movie, minimizing the amount of compression shrink will need to do.

@ronnies

Yeah, shrink is wonderful. It compresses the data to fit on the disc. That's how you can take a DVD9 and put it on a DVD5. You should not have any problems.

Cheers and Merry Christmas.
