Hi there i have just installed a modchip called nh9 into my v12 slim ps2. first thing i did is tried if the ps2 is still working so i boot an original game and it worked fine, although the first time i tried to turn it on the ps2 just went to a blank screen so i then pressed it again and then the PS2 LOGO showed up and the game works. My ps2 doesnt boot up copied or imported games, anyone knows waht could the problem be????

What's the full name of the chip? You might need to flash it with the appropriate firmware.

Hey the modchips name is NH9 i think its also known as APE or sumthing, i think its also a clone of matrix infinity same as the modbo. I kinda found a solution to the problem but another problem came up. My solution is that my motherboard/my system is a v12 PAL so i didnt need to connect the "H" link to the motherboard for it to work. But when i was trying it the other problem came up when i press the reset button the light turns green and then quickly changes back to red, so my system wont start/boot. I then remove the modchip and my PS2 works fine.

So anyone knows why when the modchip is installed the system wont boot? something wrong with the +3.3v or GND connection?(im already using thicker wire for both connection). Should i use thinner wire to solve this problem?

Well to be honest, with cheap modchips, you get what you pay for. Modbos, Infinity clones, and all that crap is garbage. Noobs there is no reason to waste money on POS chips like this. It could be a soldering problem. I paid a pro to do mine, so I wouldn't know. I'd just chuck that hunk of garbage and get a Matrix Infinity or DMS 4.
