Any feedback on Kyphermedia DVD-r's? Officemax has a great deal on them!

Absolutely terrible for video--less than a 25% success rate on 2 different 10 packs. Avoid them like the plague.

Ya officemax has an instant rebate, it would come out to 20 bucks for a 25 pack...FUC* it now. By the way...COMPusa's brand is JUST AS TERRIBLE!!!! AVOID both kypermedia and compusa brand at all costs!!!!!

Khypermedia is the worst dvd-r's I've ever purchased. So far I've been able to burn to approximately 7 out of about 20, and the were only $1.00 each. They've turned out to be the most expensive dvd-r's I've bought so far. The ones you're lucky enough to burn to are terrible for video, freezes towards the end of the video's I've tried backing up.

Who needs burners when there's laser i-sight

I had the same problems with Khybermedia, about 1 in 5 burned ok. The CompuUSA brand was even worse, all coasters. Best buy I found was at Supermedia, Optodisc 1x -RW for a buck a piece. 9 of 10 worked well, the other 1 I just erased then it worked fine so 10/10 good.

They have worked great for me with DVD XCopy (versions 1.4.1, 1.5, and 1.5.2) on the Sony DRX-500UL with 1.0g firmware. Haven't had a single bad burn yet.

I have a Panasonic A05 DVD-RW writer. I tried and consistently failed with HyperMedia media using version 1.21 or earlier firmware. When I updated my firmware to 1.30 with the RPC I have not had a bad burn yet!

For what its worth I have used every one of my Hypermedia discs 1x and have had no problems yet. I use DVDDecrypter/DVD2ONE/Copy2DVD for all backups, bought at Office Max when they were on sale
