Hi,
Firstly, Im running a slimline ps2 with a DMS Pro 4 chip with toxic bios v0.3. Now heres my problem.

Having have the chip installed fine for a while now, whenever I play a game for a length of time, the machine gets to hot to reload. For example i play one game, but cant play another till the ps2 has cooled down. Have i missed something with the install? or is this the normal for slimline ps2's and DMS Pro 4 ????

Any info on this matter would be appreciated!

That is a very common problem with the slimlines. I'm not too sure if there is a fix for it, other than just making sure that it gets good ventilation.

was thinking about getting a usb powered fan and plugging it into the ps2 and positioning it round the back of the unit. Will this help? Has anyone got any ventilation ideas? Many Thanks

Hi mate,

I swear, I have the exact same problem with you!

PS2 Slimline Console
Comsoft Slim Fix v3.0
DMS4 Pro flashed with ToxicOS v0.41

After gaming for like 10mins, I get a black screen after I restart the ps2 slim. Yes, it always works fine after it cools down, but I cant live with this as I always like to change games! LOL

Adding a fan wont help much. I have a mini notebook USB fan connected but no use. Anyway the fan wont blow the chip direct. If you really wish to continue using, maybe you can cut a hole in the shield where the chip is. I have seen a picture of DMS4 pro installed and shield has a hole cut.

I have ordered a Mars Action A750. Guess a normal stable mod chip will do fine, as I dont use the special additional features available only on DMS chips.

I am actually consoled to hear that someone else has the same problem; I was still worried that I did not do the installation correctly!

By the way, I only installed it like 3-4 days. My PS2 slim is new. How old is your console? When did it start having this problem?
