Oops, I am sorry.
I am new to copying dvds to vcd. however, thanks to this site I am now able to do it with success. I have been storing them on my external harddrive as mpeg1 files. Now the question...As I acquire other vcds I would like to store them on my drive as mpeg 1 files. How can I convert the mpegav file back to mpeg 1?
Thanks
Mike

The DVDs I convert to mpeg1 are staying on my drive. What I am refering to are those I buy. There are 5 or 6 files on the VCD one in where the movie is (mpegav). Can I store that and then burn it as a vcd or could it be converted to mpeg1 and stored to be burned later?
Thanks
Mike
I would use IsoBuster and extract the 5 or 6 files to your hd to a folder or a folder for each file. I wouldn't do it the other way because that is transcoding= lose video quality.

click tools - mpeg tools. at the bottom of the window is CDXA2MPEG. there you can load in the avseq01.dat file and type an output filename to save a true mpeg file as and click convert!
