I have a question about softmod and multidisc games, the 345th I'm sure. I recently switched from hardmod, Viper Chip, to softmod due to the fact that my younger brother's Platinum Gamecube doesn't seem to allow chips to be installed. I took out the chip from my old gamecube, soldered it on the Platinum, (yes I know how to solder, and well), and the gamecube is just giving us problems.

Because I had the stuff lying around, I decided to use the SDLoad method and it works like a charm. I have GCOM 2.3 and GCOS 1.5F on the thing. I know that softmods do not allow for multidisc games, cept for RE4, buts thats not really multidisc, just a carry over save. My question is: Is it even possible for future versions of aforementioned softmods to allow multidisc games? Is there some sort of hardware issue that won't allow softmods and multidisc games to work no matter what version is developed?
