ok i was wondering i have a linksys 5 portwork group switch and i was wondering could i use that to bridge unstead of the cross over cable

read this, look down a bit and it has the tutorial for
doing it through a router, you do not need a crossover cable,
you need a strait through cable.

sorry, i misread. thought ou were trying to FTP from your Xbox to PC
