No, they are not the same discs (Not Taiyo Yuden). I am not sure what they are, but for sure they are not as good as the Made in Japan ones.

You can easily spot the Made in Japan ones because the spindle looks different than the Made in Taiwan ones. The clear plastic part gets wider towards the bottom and it locks in a different way than the ones from Taiwan.

Before decinding on returning or not, wait for a fw more replies, because like I said, I have no experience with the Taiwanese Fujis.
