I have a problem, I just got this slim kit pro and I have v14 ps2 with the metal clip. I kind of cut the bottom extension instead of the top. http://www.mod-chip.com/customer/PS2/Slim_Kit_Pro/New_Slim_Ps2_Wi... might show what i mean. I placed tool C with a plier and it went in a little more than it should have. The games didn't work so I tried taking it back out by piercing it with a pin and plucking it out. But that just sent it back in more. So what should I do to take it out and also is that extension on the bottom really important?

Just a quick question did you purchase the slim kit pro BLACK version or slim kit pro SILVER version? This does make a difference because as you said the new V14's place a small metal plate to prevent the triggering of pressure switch "C" or "3" externally as the V12's. So, you need a fancier little tool to bypass the plate(which the slim kit pro SILVER set includes), or bend the plate to the side, but that's kinda risky. You can always open it up and try the tape method to that plate protected switch, but I'm guessing you don't want to do that or you would've done so already and not bought the slim kit pro set.

Here's some pictures of the slim kit pro silver and it's installation. http://www.modchip.com/installpics/magickey2/installation.htm

Signature? What signature!? Oh wait...I actually have one
now.

thanks for the reply. I fixed my ps2 with tape method the same day that I posted this (kind of impatient). I also got the plastic out by opening it. I didnt want to get rid of the warranty sticker so I blow dried it (uncle's advice) and the sticker came right off with the heat. I placed it back and it looks like normal wear and tear but not as if someone tampered with the PS2.
