Now,
I don't know how the heck to solve this problem; but my parents have these Synergestics stereo system, and once in a while one of the speakers fade in and out, while the other doesn't work AT ALL ANYTIME. (I probably blew the one out.) Anyway, a few days ago I decided to add more speakers to the receiver (the receiver is also by Synergestics.) and I knew that these speakers were buy RCA, and I knew for sure that they worked--but the second day I tried to listen to some music, the RCA speakers started fading in and out also, so now I'm starting to think it's the receiver that's causing the fading in and out.........tell me if you've got any ideas on how to fix this...

I had the same problem with a harman/kardon reciever at my house. What I found helped (for my reciver) was to put it on a PCM Stereo mode and the fading in and out went away.

Matt

I thank you very much, but What is a PCM Stereo mode and how do I switch to it?

souns more like the receiver is rated at a set ohms and the speakers are at another rating.... now the receiver is fighting the speakers (at louder volumes).... either way, from what you listed, it's not high end stuff, so i would not expect high quality sound either, and therefore your gonna get more feed back, clipping, and fade.
