Recording PVR with DVD Recorder

Specifically, I was wondering if anyone has tried or if it is even possible to use the DV connection on my Comcast DVR (Motorola, I forget the model #) and then connect it to a DVD Recorder standalone unit with DV in to record off of the DVR. The reason being I saw the Trutech DVD Recorder at Target for $90 and thought that would be nice to be able to use the DV connection to record my PVR stuff.

Additionally, I have an OLD image stabilizer that worked way back in the day, is there any reason it wouldn't work with a new DVD Recorder? Has MacroV come up with any new tricks?
