Backing Up With DVD Decrypter

If I use DVD Decrypter to backup a ps2 game on my hard drive, do I need to adjust the settings before I start reading the iso or do I just use the settings that the program uses right after I installed DVD Decrypter and not change anything?

I've been using DVD Decryter for several months and have no problems with it, but I'd like to know if there are any docs that explain all the settings and what they mean? I've been googling a bit looking for this info, even looked through the guides on this site, but haven't found exactly what I need. I'm just looking for the original help docs or any help files/manuals for DVD Decrytper, specifically. I've found plenty of hybrid docs explaining specific features, but nothing comprehensive. I don't need help on how to do something, I just wanted something that described all the options for each mode and what they mean, optimal settings, etc.
