WINDOWS 98 HELP

When I load up my windows 98 on my PC the screen is white with nothing else. An error message pops up talling me that internet explorer closed...please help

P.S. I recently wiped it and started over with a defferent registration number

how long ago did you do a wipe and reload ?
did you reformat , before reinstalling ?
after reinstalling win 98 did win98 work right ?
if yes, for how long ?
why did you feel you needed to reinstall windows ?
how old of a pc is this, processor speed if known and ram capcity
