how do i go about updating my firmware for my dvd drive. lately everytime i go to backup a movie once shrink is done encoding it opens up decypt but then i get an error message saying check condtion invalid parameters
there you go, but I think invalid parameters is not going to be solved by a firmware update. But what do I know, honestly I've forgotten. It's been so long since I've had to deal with a prob like that.
ok the error i get once decypt opens up to burn is I/O error then it displays the device as slimtype dvdrw soswvs504 then below it it says scsistatus-0x02,interpretation:check condition,cdb:2a 00 00 00 00 00 20 00,interpratation: write (10)-sectors 0-31,interpratation:invalid field in parameters list
Like I said above, I can't remember so anything I can tell shouldn't be taken too seriously.
I think teh invalid parameters was a DVDDecrypter bug, I heard the newest version fixed it. But again not sure. But there's the site to update your firmware if you wanna try that.
four brothers, i ended up burning with the Nero express that i had preinstalled with my computer. i unistalled decypt and reinstalled and still the same problem, though this the first time i've used these programs with my new computer here. i have done 60 or more backups on my other laptop w/no problems. but w/sincity uncut on either laptop i am only getting the title menu to select in reauthor shrink and nothing else, same thing with the movie serenity. i am using file mode search all and still get same results
dvd decrypter can automactically look up updated firmware for the selected drive. just open dvdd and goto tools drive and check for firmware updates, took me straight to it.
