To all having problems with Nero7 --- there is a new update called Version 7.0.1.4b ((Nero-7.0.1.4b_eng_no_yt.exe)) available for download here:- http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/nero7-up.php

I had problems -- even had uninstalled Version 7.0.1.4 -- with this update it seems ok now after I uninstalled with the Nero 7 cleantool for version 7 here: -http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_Clean_Tool.html then re-installing fresh this latest one!

You all have a Good New Year !

I'm having a slightly different problem - with the latest upgrade.

I've tried the versions with only English and all languages and the versions with and without Yahoo toolbar.

Each time I try to install the installer hangs when trying to remove the backup files - it gets all the way to the end of the green bar and sticks.

Each time this has happened I have had to use the clean utility and then try and install again. But no luck so far.

If I try to remove or repair or modify the install without using the Clean utility I get a message telling me to complete the previous installation - but I can't find any way of doing that.

So far no help from Nero.

I've revertyed to Nero 6 and will cancel my credit card purchase if they can't fix it.

That sounds like more of a problrm with msi then with Nero.

Have you updated the software installer from microsoft lately?

If 7.0.12 is working for you I dont see any advantages yet. It just seems to be more bug fixes. If you have not ran into any bugs yet then you might want to stay where you are until a major update is released.

I have been using Nero 6.6.0.18 with no problems, all I hear about with the new 7 series is bugs and fixes and massive downloads. I wouldn't ipgrade unless I saw something in the change log that I couldn't live without.

I've been using nero7 fine then I tried to update and now it won't even open the 'smartstart' menu. I get an error message telling me no 'skin' found?!

I've tried re-installing Nero but still no luck. I think it may be that a vital file has been deleted of my pc as DivX comes up with the same error. Any ideas (this is like rocket science to me)?
