swap magic 3.6 disc id utility question

merry x mas everyone.hope someone cna help me. just got my son for x mas swap magic 3.6 and a slim flip top for his slim ps2.installed flip top and used swap magic to see if it would load and it does,
question on retreaving the dnas number off the original games, how do you get the disc id utility cd to work??
i put in swap magic dvd disc in and let it load up to the load program screen, then i took it out and put in the disc id utility and hit the x key but nothing happends.
is this the correct way to do this or am i doing this wrong.
i did use dvd decrypter to make a back up of jax, loaded up swap disc dvd and loaded game,game keeps freezing up on loadup and takes forever to load, also no music playing in the back ground, also on some courses after playing for about 1/2 minute your screen goes black and you end up in water off the course and it takes forever the get back on coares. i am using kodax dvd-r and memorex dvd-r and i now this could be my problem with this game freezing, also if i did not insert the dnas numbers would this game still work even though i would not try to access online gameing. thanks

You need to use the swap magic CD to load the disc id utility.
Second, your choice of media is why your games are not working correctly, you need to use better media like verbatim, sony, maxell, etc.

thanks sly for your quick responce. so the swap cd is used with the disc id utility to get the dnas number of a dvd game??
how do i use the cd with the disc id cd.
load up the swap cd,at the load program screen take out swap and put in the disc id dc and then hit the x key, then eject the disc id cd and put in the original games,wait 10 sec and then hit the x key??

Last i heard, the id utility didn't give valid results on a slim ps2 (but i also might have read that they fixed it).
The disc id utility is on a cd, so you use the swap magic cd to load it. If it was on dvd, you would use the swap magic dvd, it doesn't matter that your putting in a dvd later.

morning sly, just hooked up to my router and tried online game and it worked,could log in and select to join a game. did not joint becauce not very good,will get my son to login and see if it works ok online. it did pass the checking number screen.lol

hi sly update no this game,well my son tried to join a game online and was sussecfull only one time after exiting a small game he tried to join a larger one but the screen just went black, so will get some maxell disc and try again and let you know how it goes.

He's able to play online, so at least you know your getting the id and patching correctly.

i sly ok got some maxell DVD-R 8x 4.7 2 hr disc and recopyed star wars.
my son got on line no problem,also the game loads up fast and plays a.o.k. except the sound keeps fading in and out and on the menu it keep stuttering. but once you select a mod everything is ok
